Plug in the Broadband modem’s power cable and wait for the lights to become stable. Unplug the Broadband modem’s power cable for 30 seconds. This process will include having the modem re-establish connectivity with your ISP’s server. Powercycle is one way of restarting your network. This error message means your request was received by your ISP’s server but did not assign your router a public IP address. If you’re online, connect your computer and modem to the router and perform a powercycle. To verify if your ISP’s PPPoE server is online, connect your computer directly to the modem and see if you can connect to the Internet. This error message appears when your ISP’s server did not respond to your request. To resolve this, check if your account is active and verify your username and password with your Internet Service Provider. You are getting this error message because there is a problem with the account you entered on the router’s web-based setup page. NOTE: Some ISPs require the extension where isp is your Internet Service Provider. ![]() Once you have verified your PPPoE account, you may now enter them on the router’s web-based setup page.
